The client's theme for the Fusion Festival event in 2009 was Eastern Music. Research into Eastern Dance, as well as outfits worn was done in order to present a poster that reflected this ethnic visual theme.
The client requested a poster that captured the relaxed nature of the Couch Potato Pops event, but also extruded a chipper and upbeat theme. Bright color choices, as well as patterns on the dress were used to achieve a composition that reflects these themes.
The client's 2011 FusionFest featured the music of Bollywood. Visual themes ingratiating Bollywood centric ideas, such as traditional outfits worn in addition to common colors were used to create a composition that encompassed the Bollywood ideal.
The client requested a poster done in a similar manner to which the 2010 Michigan Philharmonic's Youth Orchestra Brochure was done. Color schemes, such as the dark background and solid type, give the poster a serious visual. The several lighter elements, such as the strokes between the words "Expand Your Horizon, And Reach Further", as well as the more relaxed typeface for this sentence, was incorporated to appeal to the youth demographic, while the dark colors and stronger fonts were used to appeal to parents.
The theme of the annual L.A.N.D (Language Arts Network for Development) poster was one of acceptance and tolerance, found among strife and misinformation and fear. Contrasting colors of yellow and blue, along with the effect of broken glass was used to represent a visual image of fear and unrest, while the hands in the foreground, which start out as yellow and blue at the edge, but then blend into a green in the center, represent the two sides coming together after overcoming these hurdles. The heart at the center of the hands is the final element which expresses the two sides melding together in peace.
